Michelle Pizzo Massage/Birth Doula Nationally Certified Massage Therapist, Nationally Certified Foot Reflexologist
During my 15 years in the financial industry a moment came when I had to acknowledge that I did not feel connected to my true purpose in life. I began soul searching and immediately connected with body and energy work through massage therapy. I felt and feel so connected with massage and the good it does I never looked back. I attended Colorado School Of The Healing Arts in Lakewood CO, and graduated from the 700 hours program in 2003. I went on to complete 1041 hours by the end of the summer in 2004 and graduated with certifications in Neuromusclar Therapy and Reflexology. In addition to practicing massage since then, I have also taught massage therapy programs for the last 2 and 1/2 years and have added a prenatal certification.
My empowering birth experiences have further shaped my massage practice to specialize in perinatal care. Pregnancy and birth can be a time that women need the support of other women. It's a time of tremendous change that fosters connectedness, introspection and metamorphosis; this is an ideal time to help women journey through one of the most beautiful and natural processes they will ever experience. I have completed my training with DONA and I Certified with The Institute of Somatic Therapy Massage Doula program. What a beautiful and natural compliment to massage therapy. I am also working toward certifications in Childbirth education and Lactation Education with Birth Arts International.
I am here to support women during their pregnancy, birth and beyond. Together creating a positive birth experience that you will share with your daughters, your family members and other women.
